DetailsPro is a design tool made for Apple platforms. You can use it to create designs for UI elements, mockups, and screens.
DetailsPro is different than other design tools because is based on Apple's user interface framework SwiftUI. When you design in DetailsPro, you arrange real SwiftUI pieces. Your design is real SwiftUI from the beginning, as opposed to being some other format that we "convert to SwiftUI." This makes DetailsPro a great place to make a design with the Apple Human Interface Guidelines top of mind.
DetailsPro is focused on being:
- Beginner-friendly
- Best for quick ideas and iteration
- Natural for designers
What can I make with DetailsPro?
You can design everything from a single UI element like a card or a widget to a whole screen for an iPhone or other device.
What is SwiftUI?
SwiftUI is Apple's user interface toolkit for the Apple platforms. When you build a real app, there are many components that go into your work. The SwiftUI part is everything that is seen or interacted with directly: the buttons, screens, images, layouts, and controls.
Does DetailsPro replace Sketch, Figma, or Xcode?
No! DetailsPro is meant to be another tool in your toolbox. Like Sketch or Figma, it's a design tool made for exploring ideas and refining designs. Unlike Sketch and Figma, it's all about building SwiftUI designs directly—there is no freeform canvas and the design editor works differently.
Designs you make in DetailsPro can be exported to Xcode as Swift files. You can't build an app in DetailsPro, submit anything to the App Store, or manage Swift code.
What can I do with designs I make in DetailsPro?
You can preview designs you make on any Apple device with DetailsPro and save the time you'd normally have spent making a SwiftUI prototype of a static design from another editor. You don't have to ask the question "What does this actually look like when it's in SwiftUI?" because your design is SwiftUI already.
When a design is ready to be worked into a real app, you can export the SwiftUI code from all or part of your design and paste it right into Xcode.
You can also share DetailsPro files with your colleagues, or present your designs in design reviews with our presentation feature.
You can also export your designs as images.
